Preschool Storytime Class

Age Group: 

For children ages 3 ½ to 6 and their caregivers. Children and caregivers will learn pre-reading skills through stories, songs and rhymes to help prepare them for their Kindergarten Readiness Assessment in Literature Test (KRAL). Kindergarteners will continue to strengthen their skills. Skills include answering questions, repeating sentences, rhyming words and identifying sounds and letters.

Tales for Twos and Threes Class

Age Group: 

For children ages 2-3 and their caregivers. Songs, rhymes and stories teach children how sounds and letters relate to reading and will build a foundation for future learning. Interaction with instructors and other children encourages social development and allows caregivers to connect.

Vegetable Stamping Crafts

Thursday, June 27, 2013 - 11:00am to 12:00pm

Age Group: 

Dig into summer with some vegetable stamping crafts. Children ages 2 and up are welcome. No enrollment is required. Wear your old clothes – we will be using paint and it might get messy!

Babytime Class

Summer Stories and Crafts Class

Age Group: 

Children ages 3-6 are invited to join us at the Lane Road Library for Stories and Crafts. Each week participants will listen to books and then make a fun project. Children and caregivers will learn prereading skills through stories, songs, rhymes, and art activities. No enrollment is required.

Reading Rocks

Date: 

Tuesday, June 25, 2013 - 1:00pm to 2:00pm

Age Group: 

Every rock has a story to tell. New rocks born of fire, old rocks slowly formed in water– and other rocks shifted by forces below. Students entering grades 3-5 will hear stories of earthquakes, volcanoes and erosion while exploring the wonders of geology.
