Giants Beware Colorist John Novak

Come learn about the art of color in comic books and graphic novels with John Novak, colorist for Giants Beware! and the Tricky Journey series. John will discuss the making of graphic novels and demonstrate how to color pages on a computer. Kids will get to try their hand at coloring digitally. One hundred years ago, James T. Miller sold the land that would become Upper Arlington to King and Ben Thompson. Join us for a day of refreshments, activities and special guests celebrating this milestone in Upper Arlington history. Upper Arlington Historical Society President Charlie Groezinger, Lynn Thompson, granddaughter of King Thompson, and Esther Miller, granddaughter of James T. Miller, will all be on hand.

My Little Pony Party

For those of you who couldn’t come last fall; it’s back! Have some fun with your favorite pony pals! We will be partying Pinky Pie style with games, crafts, and snacks. There will be plenty of Ponyville inspired activities to satisfy even Princess Celestia. Come ready to round up some bunnies, make a sonic rainboom, have some of Apple Jacks favorite apple treats, and so much more! Registration is required and begins February 16, 2013. Spectrum Storytime

This monthly storytime is designed for young children on the Autism spectrum and/or children with sensory processing sensitivities. We will have stories, songs, and activities to encourage literacy and positive associations with reading and the library. This is a registered event; registration is limited to 8 children and their caregiver(s), and must be made in-person or by phone. This program is designed for children with a developmental stage of 3-5 years old; children aged 10 and under are welcome.
