Celebrate Valentines Day at the Lane Road Library with lots of chocolate make chocolate treats, play chocolate games, and win chocolate prizes. Enrollment is required and begins January 26. For grades 4-12.

It’s Dragon Appreciation Day - come celebrate all things dragon! We’ll have a story, snacks, and make some dragon crafts. No enrollment is necessary. For kids ages 3 and up.

The Caldecott Medal is awarded each year by the American Library Association for the best illustrations in a childrens book by an American illustrator. The official winner will be announced on January 28. Children in grades 2-5 are invited to join us for a mock election at the Lane Road Library. We will browse some possible Caldecott contenders, have activities related to the Caldecott award, and vote on our own winner. Enrollment is required and begins December 26.

Travel with Jack and Annie back in time to feudal Japan where well learn about the ways of the Ninja. We will have activities related to the book as well as snacks. Enrollment is required and begins January 29. For children in grades K-4.
