Children ages 3-6 are invited to join us at the Lane Road Library for Stories and Crafts. Each week participants will listen to books and then make a fun project. Children and caregivers will learn prereading skills through stories, songs, rhymes, and art activities. No enrollment is required.

Have you ever seen a huge tarantula or enormous scorpion in real life? Have you ever held a Giant African Millipede or Australian Spiny Stick Insect? Come to the Lane Road Library’s “Meet the Bugs” program to see and touch these and many other critters. Megan Meuti, a graduate student from Ohio State University’s Entomology Department, will show off insects and arthropods from around the world and from our own backyard. Children ages 3 and up and their caregivers will have the opportunity to look at, touch, and hold the critters during this informative and interactive presentation. Registration is required and begins July 12.

For children 0-24 months and their caregivers. Caregivers will learn songs, stories and rhymes to enhance personal reading time. These skills will help children build vocabulary, recognize objects, and build a foundation for reading and learning.

Come to the Lane Road Library to hear a story, meet Olivia the costumed character, and make a craft. For all ages – no enrollment is required. Don’t forget your camera!
