Art: Goya and Modernism

Join Ann Shifflet for a look at the innovative and expressive paintings and prints of Goya, the genius of the Spanish art world in the 19th century. Ms. Shifflet will show Goya as an artist who was ahead of his time and and explain how his work influenced later artists.

Ann Shifflet is an instructor at the Columbus College of Art and Design in the History of Art and Design Department. Her areas of interest include Art, Design and Culture, History of Modern Design, 19th Century Art, Romanticism in Art, Northern Renaissance Art and Zombies in Literature, Legend and Film. She holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Rochester and M.A. in Art History from the University of South Carolina.
