How it Works
For every seven days of reading, you can enter the online grand prize drawing for a chance to win exciting prizes. You can pick up a reading log at your local Upper Arlington Public Library branch or download one below.
After reading for seven days or reaching your seven goals, stop by any Upper Arlington Public Library branch to select from our prize basket. You can earn up to eight drawing entries and weekly prizes through January 31.

Frequently Asked Questions
While we like seeing your finished reading logs, you do not have to bring in your completed sheet to pick up your prizes. You will need to let us know how many reading logs you have completed and what prizes you have already received. Your first and second reading logs receive special prizes.
You are welcome to bring in multiple sheets at one time.
There are no requirements. We suggest 15-20 minutes a day, but please feel free to adjust to your needs.
All reading activities count! Listened to a book on CD? Check! Listened to someone read a story out loud to you? Check! Read a graphic novel? Check! Took a walk with your preschooler and read aloud the signs you saw together? Check and check! Any reading or literacy activity counts for everyone involved including babies and adults.
Yes! On each entry form you will be asked to choose the prize you would like if your name is drawn. You may enter for the same prize each week or enter for a different option. The choice is up to you.
We do not have the funding to provide more than one book prize or more than one coupon bag per person, but we’d love to recommend titles you can borrow from the library.
Being a reading role model is a powerful way to instill a love of reading in a child’s life. You are your child’s first teacher—if your child sees you reading and enjoying your reading experience then they are more likely to learn to love reading as well. And not just you, but all family members can participate in our Winter Reading Program and be reading role models.
Don’t have kids? Winter Reading Program is still for you! Reading is not only entertaining, but also a way to continue learning, even long after your school years.
